Remembrance Service 2024

Ever-living God we remember those whom you have gathered from the storm of war into the peace of your presence; may that same peace calm our fears, bring justice to all peoples and establish harmony among the nations, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Every year, Merton joins the nation and unites on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday to pay tribute to the millions of men and women who gave their service and often their lives to protect the freedom of their fellow countrymen and future generations.  Both of our Year 6 classes, joined many schools in Merton at the Mitcham War Memorial this morning for the beautiful yearly service to remember those who gave their lives for our freedom. Our Head Boy and Head Girl represented St Thomas of Canterbury and laid a wreath of poppies in honour of the fallen.
