Year 6 London Transport Museum 2024
O God, our heavenly Father, whose glory fills the whole creation, and whose presence we find wherever we go: preserve those who travel; surround them with your loving care; protect them from every danger; and bring them in safety to their journey’s end; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
London Transport Museum explores the heritage of London and its transport system, and the stories of the people who have travelled and worked in the city over the last 200 years. By sharing this story of innovation, ingenuity, creativity and design, the museum ignite curiosity about the world around us and how to shape its future.
As part of our Terrific Transport topic, we are visiting the Transport Museum in Covent Garden, London. The children will have a chance to look around the venue and take part in a workshop about the incredible Caribbean Journeys. This should be an exciting and fun trip to deepen the children’s understanding of transport as a whole! This is in line with our Geography and history lessons, a fun way of combining across curricular subjects!
